US Open 2015 2nd round

Phil misses fairway at par 5 8th...very much a birdie hole...not sure if he will have a shot at going for it...he just has flat gone from very easily inside cut and chance to move up board with a few birdies to 2 sloppy bogies and now in deep danger of a missed cut.

10 mile walk . Elevation changes. Just crazy. Like s triathlon.

Bubba was at 6 over and now gets a birdie and almost holes out for double eagle and now putting for eagle to get inside cut line....Phil on other hand was 2 over and puttered away 2 shots to par...he is short and right of green on 8 in two...will need a very good up and down to get birdie...would be nice to have a shot cushion going into last hole.

Phil makes birdie at 8 and now back to one inside cut line....he was not too excited but at it has been a long frustrating day.

Bubba was 7 over thru 16 holes FYI.

great! Anything can happen. They are saying he hit 18 of 28 greens and made no putts today. Lucky to have made the cut. Glad he did.

Well let's hope Phil had his bad round for the tournament.
67 68 on the week end will be enough IMO. This place is firming up. -5 will be the lead tonight and -3 or -2 on Saturday night.

Will it benefit Phil to go out a little early tomorrow?

I agree, the greens are just horrible. I like the course structure, but the greens should be magnificent, PGA/World-class tour players should not be putting on bumpy greens where the ball wobbles back and forth or gets knocked to one side before reaching the hole. I will never understand the mindset on that as it makes winning a matter of luck....although some players have done well both days (D.Johnson, Reed, Speith).

The fact that a couple guys putted good is their poor justification thats ist a US open.
