Re: Scottish OPen Final round 2015
A bit of a practice round for PHIL. Even par. I think PHIL is a bit disappointed that he has zoomed up the leaderboard but he seems happy with his game. His family is around him and he seems to be in a good place.
PHIL is not over thinking St Andrews. He will need to make a lot of putts and good shots next week.

Wow, he finished higher than Justin Rose (who is only on the 7th hole).

Good article. Sounds like 5 more years of Phil. Hope all that confidence can translate into wins soon!!

Q. Can you talk about what a role model Phil has always been for you?
RICKIE FOWLER: Yeah, Phil's been a huge help to me. He's someone I love spending time around on and off the golf course and learning as much as I can from him. He's a great professional, on and off the golf course. So he made sure I was well aware of what he accomplished this morning when I saw him this morning, and told him I would see if I could take care of the first leg of it. Got that done. But there's a lot of work to get done to get a win next week. I really like how my game feels, some things I need to tighten up next few days and be ready to play on Thursday.

Phil looks happy and comfortable in his own skin these days, but I can't help but feel that the off-course issues of which we are unaware must take their toll on him. These are issues that are stressful and use energy that could be expended improving his golf game. Too many distractions get in the eay of winning!
So nice of Rickie to acknowledge Phil and the help and encouragement he's given him.
