CJ Cup Nine Bridges - Rounds 1 & 2

Well, Phil posted a modest -2 in round 1 and up-and-down Even par in Round 2.  He looked frustrated out there.... saw one hole where he putted from off the green and sent the ball some 15 feet above and past the hole and missed on way back for par.  Hard to play Even par in same group that Justin Thomas is recording a -9/63 on the round.  Phil, you fought the good fight, for 26 years battling the dead wood turnover for the best of the new comers, but you can only do that for so long.  Some people only do that for 2-3-4 years and then they are gone.  Phil, it's not worth it. It will be an uphill battle to win at this stage against these younger athletes who have all the time in the world to practice.  I don't think you can practice enough with all the things you may be involved in.  Champions Tour!!!  Let's do it!

Evidently, Phil almost made a hole in 1 on a par-4 (got eagle instead of albatross).  The players on the green moved to the edge while they hit up and they watched as Phil's ball rolls across the green, hits the pin (you can't see it in the video because guy standing in camera view) and hits the pin and bounces off to 1-2 feet.

PHIL finished -7 and at t31--pretty decent finish---he will get some points for that--might stay in top 50
