Is it fair to say his performance here validates his special exemption to the US Open?

if he wins, he no longer can use a special exemption until at least 2027 at Pebble Beach

Phil looks like he is running on fumes. Hopefully he can hang on and be in the final group tomorrow.

Literally too nervous to watch today--PHIL is on 18 at -7. Pretty good round under this pressure!

Phil hit a great third shot off the green on 18 and made par. He really worked hard on those last four holes to keep a one-stroke lead.

SW wind tomorrow. This is the hard wind for Kiawah. May not be quite high enough to produce absolute carnage, however. Gusting 20-25. If it were to get up to 25+, then Phil likely wins with a 77. They had SW winds not as strong as day 2 back in the second round of 2012, and the average score was 78. At that was playing the ladies tees on 12 and 13

Phil, let's do it!!  You can do it!!  I want to see history made!! and you end up with as many majors as Nick Faldo! (besides, I can't stand Koepka).

This would be such a great victory. Any chance we get a stress free victory?? It just doesn't seem right that Phil would get this far and not hoist the trophy. Hear that golf gods!!!!

I agree this is likely his last chance. I have been stressed out all week. This is his real opportunity to elevate his status in the game. Majors are the only thing that will do that.

Oh yea, I forgot to record this. I hope I don't screw it up, never recorded anything yet with our cable box recording option.
