Phil’s crooked drive on 1 finds the bunker then finds far greenside bunker = bogie.

Well Phill birdies the par5 2nd hole, so back to -1

The good news is Phil made 4 birdies.

The bad news is Phil made 2 bogies + 1 double-bogie = Even to stay at -1

Big contrast to DJ's -7 on the back nine, -2 on front = -9 for round

I taped it and fast forwarded to the few shots they showed from Phil. Wasn't pretty. Muffled chip, blew the final 4ft birdie putt 5 ft by. It's really discouraging. Phil Said after Safeway he was going to win soon. He was going to Amanda s parents weekend and then practice to stay sharp then play HSBC. He won there and knows the greens. He's 12 shots off the lead. I was in las vegas last week and couldn't resist betting Phil at 30 to 1 this week. Guess I bought into "Phil speak". My bad. Lol !

Tough day for PHIL--way back but hey its China and its going to be a long time til January 2018
