Bubba needs to outdo a few Ryder Cup wannabees next week

I think it's between Bubba and Daniel Berger....anyone else close to the mix?

I can't believe Rickie got in, but both he and Bubba not played great golf the last few weeks. I surely thought Bubba over Rickie. But if Love picked Bubba over Rickie, Rickie isn't playing next week so if he didn't pick him this week, what's the justification for picking him next week? I think it legitimizes Rickie as a pick; the other way around would have been weird.

I think it has to do with personality and leadership, spirit, etc. I don't think that everybody can partner with Bubba.

Final Captain's Pick is.... RYAN MOORE

Couldn't find anything about it, even went to Sunday night football where Davis Love was supposed to make the pick at half-time but it was 3rd quarter already....and no mention on either of the golf web sites.  So I went to official Ryder Cup site and I counted off 12 photos of the 'team' and started looking....they had them in alphabetical order and there was Ryan Moore, Captain's pick.

The way he played today I figured either Chapell or Moore. (I was pulling for him to DJ could win the FedEx cup, but given the way he played today, I guess he didn't deserve it....highest score of the entire field....on sunday when you're tied for the lead?....ugh.

Walker is not in good form. I was pulling for Moore as well. He's solid! I did the same thing looking for the pick. Didn't see Bubba listed as an asst cap either. Phil has issues with a couple of things quoted on TGC.

The PGA of America and the PGA Tour not joining forces on things such as the Ryder Cup are important. Lots of smaller things give the Euros the advantage, especially when it's in their country. It's not the same anymore anyway with lots of Euros playing the PGA Tour and many Americans playing Euro events. Everybody knows each other and most are friends. Kudos to Phil and friends for trying to get it right. Not fun to lose every time!

Bubba texting Davis and asked to be assistant captain . I don't know if that was true or a joke on Bubbas part but I thought the assistant captains were past captains or likely future captains and at this point I don't think Bubba fits the bill. LOL

I thought exactly the same thing. Then Lee Westwood kept chiming in. Maybe he should worry about his own state of affairs.

Yup they are trying to poke the US bear and maybe that's a bad thing for them and good for us!!!

Gotta watch this video of Davis Love talking about Phil's influence on the pairings and strategy....at the end, he says "at first I would have said it was 50:50 (Phil), but then I upped it to perhaps 75% and even 80%, I like his strategy and the way he goes about things".

Lots of pressure on Phil. This is his baby. I also read that he doesn't plan to play every match. I think he'll pair with Zach again. He definitely loves this Ryder Cup format and hates to lose. There was a picture of Phil and Tiger and Tiger looked like he was fawning over Phil. Time changes things. Did you see that Davis made Bubba an asst. cap. but told him that he couldn't be a distraction. LOL

I quit watching the blah blah of the Golf Channel tonight. Not sure what Phil's agenda is, but sometimes he needs a muzzle. The the announcers stir the pot, editing statements to cause controversy. Be glad when the matches start. I haven't watched Phil's interview yet, but it must be interesting. They said that he found fault with every preceding captain. LOL I think that he should look forward, as he has said they'll be doing. The parts of his interview I saw were not anything that should have stirred controversy, so I'm not sure what's going on. Perhaps Willett's bro saved the day for Phil.

I watched it twice and thought Phil did great. He gave examples to support the new task force system and is getting blasted in media for throwing Sutton under bus. Totally cherry picking parts of Phil presser.

You are right! I just listened too. They ask him a question and blast him for an honest answer. I think he's trying to explain the changes.I didn't hear anybody tell Sutton that Phil complimented him . Then the discussion about whether or not Phil loves the Ryder Cup. Give me a break! Brandel's at it again! Wish he'd get laryngitis or lose his hairpiece, not to be seen for awhile. His mouth and his hair are his 2 biggest assets.

Phil apologized ok fine press was going nuts. What bugs me is for years Brandel has been using the 2004 example of Phil practicin away from team as him not being a team player. Phil cited that instance in his example of why a captain was important. He was trying to learn distance control with tigers ball. That may be why Phil chose that as an example. Chamblee was wrong and been erroneous using that example against phil for years. Think Phil deserves an apology from the motor mouth moron.

I might tweet some obnoxious truths to TGC.
I was wondering after so.much success in the Pres Cup why Phil didn't stick with Zach and wanted to play with Rickie so badly.
