Memorial 3rd Round 2018

and PHIL turned around his week on a dime Friday morning. -7 over his last 10 holes. The old saw about PHIL is that he is streaky or inconsistent but when he gets going he is stunning. He stormed out of the gates on Friday with 4 birds. He was in the middle of the fairway on #9 and plunked a ball in the water. Focus and hope gone he made 4 bogies on the back nine for 74.

Then he meandered through the early holes on Friday morning-some good shots and some poor ones. Then wham!!! 7 birds in 10 holes-he had two weak holes or else it could have been 9 birds. Of course he only just missed an eagle putt.

So I guess we will see what PHIL comes out today--I suspect the course will dry out a bit today and the pins will be tucked a bit. So scores will be higher but a good round is out there if PHIL makes some more putts. let's go PHIL

Phil needs to follow up (validate) his great round yesterday with another. Those behind are not letting up.... McIlroy and Zach J. were "E" at the start and both now -5 through 10. I saw the summary video of Phil from yesterday, very nice, love it when they show the extended version of almost every shot....but you have to notice, not just were his approach shots on the money, but what helped him get there were a lot of approaches were from the FAIRWAY....his driving must have been much better.

Well 2 misses inside 7 ft. Cost him early. Geezzzz

Needs a 65 for a top ten

9 missed putts inside of 20 feet and 5 of them were 10 or shorter

Yes some were down hill sliders like at 18 but if some had fallen!!
