American Pharaoh is not the only fast out of the gate!! I am moving a bit slow this morning and I have my Sunday morning thing to do. Thanks for doing this and I am excited for PHIL. I am hoping for a good round today to get some momentum into Memphis and then have positive thoughts going into US open.

Nice birdie...great wedge shot in to 2-3 feet using the bank.
Wow, Phil is still wearing metal spikes as the announcer mentioned.

Wedge game hit or miss now. Missed a couple opportunities where he was way off. Great off tee though

Crap, was watching nicely this morning as Phil moving along, seems like a nice day, and then this double bogie on the par-3, can't watch anymore. This is the kind of 1-step forward, 2 steps backwards that will keep Phil from winning anymore. Maybe missing the first downhiller portion was not unexpected, but to miss the shorter comeback putt, just can't make those 5-6 footers with confidence anymore.

Now making another mess from 100 yrds, never touched the green and the return super flop flopped, barely got on the green....likely another bogie. I'm out of here!!

Re: Memorial Round 4
Announcers saying he is rushing shots and must be losing interest. After his double bogey all falling apart. Thats what happens with Phil. No shot at good score today so thats it......

Re: Memorial Round 4
For such fast greens every time Phil has used the slopes it never seems to roll down enough. Very frustrating.

I really wish Phil would skip next week and go to Chambers Bay and just practice. Playing in Memphis this week won't help him for the US Open. He needs to practice as much as possible on that course.

When you look at a lot of people at the top of the leader board, they were able to go under par, even when making double bogies like Matsuyama and Molinari, you have to go to 17 spots down the leader board to find someone going over par for the round....Phil was +3? Dang, even Vijay Singh was -3 yesterday.

Not sure why Phil went there. He has never played the course well, and how did last week help him?

Not sure, but if he can't hit fairways, Chambers Bay will be very penal. Also, I saw some high resolution photos of that place....there's nothing out there to gauge distance against, at least with tree lined fairways, you have both sides of the fairway to judge how to shape your shot, but at C. Bay, it's hard to get a visual feel to frame your shot, it's all open wasteland. You see everything in the foreground framed with your target in the middle and what is behind it in the background....and it's all yellow grass or green, but flat.

I think it's completely different than this past week. Jack used different rakes as I recall and gets a kick out of the guys having trouble. Phil had lots.

Phil hit a lot of Fairways at Memorial. Everyone saying Chambers bay has wide open fairways. Phil said you really have to be off line to get in any rough. On Phils website there is a piece written during last week where he addressed chambers bay and said that.
