I couldn't believe that....he has such command of his wedges. And he wanted to use a 9-iron but Bones talked him into a Wedge and he still hit it on that upper back shelf and bounced off behind the green into the water....ugh. Phil, a nice high shot would have landed softly, there was only like 6-7 mph of wind.

Did you see where they said it was changing and was as high as 14. Greens firm as well. I can remember Phil hitting it in the water in the past. He hit it too hard, for sure. Lots of balls in the water yesterday. Poor Furyk dunked it twice. Phil likely feels successful making the cut. Out with McGuirt today, whose crash was worse than Phil's. Phil said it himself when he said he'd never thought this tournament was his to win, as it's not his style. For sure.
