Masters 2017 3rd Round

PHIL has been nearly superb this week. He has hit some super quality shots. He just let a few stray ones get away from him on Friday. Should have been a 68 instead of a 73. Of course that is me at my computer saying that as many golfers did worse then PHIL so far this week.

Still I am hoping for a Saturday to Remember!!! Let's go PHIL

Pulling for Phil, but if not Phil, then I have to pull for Sergio!! Get those demons off his back. But Phil coulda/shoulda/woulda been 3-4 shots better.

I will be very happy if Phil is only 3 shots or less from the lead after today.

From 12:30-1:00 tomorrow on CBS they're doing a special on Phil at the Masters. 3 decades of playing. Off to the Symphony, but hope to be home to catch the end of his round. Almost skipped it. Should have checked the dates before buying these tickets last Sept.! Fingers crossed for a special round.

he simply cannot sustain himself for 72 holes any longer. Doesn't have the energy. Wonder if his health is worse than he is leading on, because this has been a trend all year

Phil is the online featured group and I've had a front row seat to this bitter disappointment. I can't believe he's playing this poorly.

Maybe he'll have a day like he had at the British Open tomorrow and get himself a top 10.  Said on tv that he had a poor ball-striking day.  I'd say.  With Sergio's ball staying on the bank, etc., maybe it's his time.  Not rooting for Rosie, and Spieth drives me nuts.  He is so slow that I don't see how Phil could stay focused.  I saw online that he and Day are slowest only to be out-slow played by Crane, according to an anonymous players poll.  I saw that the new young golfers are following suit with the pre-shot, pre-shot routine that takes about 10 minutes to make a stroke.  UGH!  I would not mind seeing Rickie win either. Phil's out at 12:35 with Bill Haas.

Phil needs to rack up a regular tour win to get his confidence back. He is trying too hard and being almost 4 years since a Victory only makes it worse. He had a great ryder cup which was great but he needs to see a victory from 4 days of solid play at a stroke Play event. I hope he wins before the US open it will so wonders for his mental state

You're right on! The problem is that he plays the big events and tournaments with the best and hottest players there and that makes it more difficult. His career is amazing, and I think that one of these times he'll pull it off.
