Not sure why he missed the pro-am, but IMO, he has too many things going on in his life besides golf.

It's the putter. He is 1st in par 3 scoring and has 2 legit chances he missed.

Well he just made 2 decent putts. Maybe the spark he needs

Phil needs to make more of these 10-14 footers because other people are making them.

Frik, Phil, what the hell is he doing again...puts him in another screwball position that he can't possibly birdie, or even par. Army golf, left-right-left-right.

Did they have time to change the pin positions or are they the same as the 1st round?

Another disaster on a par 5. I was thinking a birdie there and he has a shot at getting to even par and making the cut. I think he got caught up in all those great stats and thinks it was just going to continue. They said this course is the toughest of a non major venue. But no excuse his game is terrible.

actice. He just totally blew a 40 yr chip.

He's landing in the native area too often and his iron shots are erratic. He seems to have totally lost it. I wonder if he's been practicing and trying to keep his game, or if he thinks he can play it back? I won't have to worry about his game this week-end while I'm travelling, but it's very disappointing.

I think they said he hit 3 fairways today. If he doesn't play well at Quail Hollow then I'll be more worried than I am already about his game. REMEMBER he kept saying how golf was easy now and he wasn't looking for anything. Amazing how last 2 tournaments he MCs. Gosh everything was looking great first 3 months of the year. His stats were great he was just waiting for the W.

Don't know what the problem is, but if he's not practicing, he's doing his game harm.  Maybe he thinks he can finagle his way around a course on his skillset like he used to, but not really....the outcomes show his game is in disarray. Looks like he loses it equally left and right. I don't believe him anymore, don't want to hear him say anything about 'he's this close, just a week off'.... total BS Phil. Maybe he practiced before his season started and came out looking good and then figured "he's got it again" and stopped....don't know, but all I can say is what I see....bad bad bad.

Announcer on Sirius PGATour Radio said he followed Phil for about 6 holes and spent so much time in the tall grass and native areas that he better check himself out for ticks later.

Lol. That's all he needs. He had shots sideways out of native areas... Poor driving at times. Wonder if he'll say he's hitting shots he'll need at the USOpen?

If anything Phil got a huge rude awakening. Everything he said about the changes being easy and instinctual now are obviously not. I know he thinks he has a few good years left but I am and was counting on this year to be great especially since his stats were the best since 2006. (Pre Masters stats). Nose to the grind stone!!!!
