Will be interesting if they get the second round finished to day due to the rain. I live in Arizona and it's suppose to rain thru tomorrow afternoon. Light rain off and on today and then the heavier rain later today.

Looks like it's tough for some (i.e., Tiger, + eight, + 8.

So Tiger shot a 44 on the back nine...that's too bad.

Lead is at -8

Makes a tester for par from five feet to start his round.

Tiger's going home--no super bowl. Worst round of his professional career. Bet he comes back from this. Maybe not all the way, but we've not seen the last of him. Cold, rainy, and miserable in Phoenix. Long day on the course.

Phil misses a two footer for par at 3, weather looks horrible out there.

Very tough conditions today. Would be great if Phil could get back to -2 or even -3 by the end of the round.

Great save on 11 from eight feet. Hit a good looking approach, that was unlucky to roll into a tricky lie instead of checking up.

How depressing. I was getting psyched about watching Phil in contention this weekend...and now this.

Putts are not dropping. Too big a hole he dug for himself. Anyway, what miserable weather. Hope tomorrow is not as bad weather.

No weekend action for Phil. Really poor play today, especially with his irons (hit just 7 of 18 greens) and putter.

Hopefully this has more to do with the weather. He's looked solid this year before today. Big week on San Diego up ahead. I think it's important for him to contend at least one on the West Coast before he takes some time off.

The rain and wind got PHIL today

I hope 2015 doesn't turn into a repeat of 2014.

He's playing next week and went back to San Diego. Said he hadn't intended to stay for the Super Bowl and will watch it at home, practice his short game, and try to get in a couple of extra rounds in preparation. Bet he felt miserable. He looked like a wet dog. Bubba was pleased with his round, as he said the rain really affects his game. Not sure whom I'll root for, but I won't be watching as much golf. He needs a win. I'm with you, Bulls concerning last season! If it's a repeat, let it be a win at the US Open and not another runner up.
