Online not kicking in yet even though Phil is listed. TV showing him. He doesnt look happy.

Announcers said guys who didn't play at all yesterday should have at least practice a bit to stay fresh. Wonder what Phil did?

They had Phil and Woodland featured group scrolling at top of espn online and never showed them. I rattled off a tweet to them no response. He apparently too far out of it and that they changed their mind.

The live coverage from the official The Open championship is pure crap....camera is positioned on the 17th hole/road hole with some shots from the green side, but that's it.

I don't know, rude awakening sounds more like an unexpected result. Reality is that Phil has not been playing well for several years, throwing in an unexpectedly good tournament/round here and there, but more so it's been less than typical Phil-golf for several years. This tournament is just more of the same. It's like when I followed Freddy Couples for so long in his waning years....don't know why he keeps trying to play occasional PGA tournaments.

Great pitch on 17 to a missed par putt. I said it before the I fear his 2013 OPEN win was his final gift from the golf gods. Hey a great career I guess all the positive talk and Phil being in greatest shape in years still isnt enough with the young guns and guys in their 30s hitting their prime.

He never fixed his driving stats, imo, hurt a lot. Look at how Speith and D.J. drive the ball, very few misses. When Phil misses, it's by a mile. I'm actually getting tired of seeing Speith up there all the time.

He looked totally uninspired. Look at what Harrington and Goosen are doing.What the heck is wrong with Phil?

Phil has to be feeling sick to see those 40 plus guys up there and not him.
I dont dislike Jordan but only time I will root for him now is if he is battling Rory for a win.
Hard to understand with all his fitness and swing speed niw Phil cant seem to contend .

PHIL finished at -2--lots of low scores today and shocked to Jordan S on top of the board.

Oh my goodness what a year for that young man.

Heck, even an 'amateur' is up there. Everyone I root for seems to cave (D.J. today). Maybe I'll change strategy, go Speith!! That'll fix ya.

Dustin Johnson looked worse than Phil today. Not rooting for Jordan either thiscweek Joan.

The course was playing so easy today that it let too many people into the mix.
