Re: 2023 Masters
If Phil could chip from the fairway, he'd be at -4, despite his 3 penalty strokes yesterday

Phil needs to get a move on.
He's already 10 behind Koepka

birdie at 18
69. 4 under for the tournament. But 8 behind Koepka. Those duffed chips and water balls are looming large. Phil could easily be around 9-10 under

I'm presently surprised by his play. He's been solid.

75 in round 3. Thought he played pretty well, all things considered, for an old guy in brutal conditions. Just left the putter at home.

What a closing round from Phil. Incredible stuff, his enduring brilliance is really incredible.
If only he had brought the putter this morning.

He'd be being fit for his 4th green jacket had he remembered his putter this morning
And Jay Monahan would be crying for his mommy

Yup amazing round for PHIL--the cold and wet from Saturday and early this morning kept him down. Not uncommon for PHIL as cold and wet is hard on us old people.
Re: 2023 Masters
I think the cold and wet is when you see the arthritis affecting him. What an amazing performance! Maybe he'll win the U S Open.

Re: 2023 Masters
yes. A 4th masters would have done nothing for Phil. He'd still be just outside of the top 10 of all time.
A US Open changes things, however

Re: 2023 Masters
Yup only a US OPen moves PHIL up but one argue he is in the top ten of the modern era (post Jones, Sarazen and Hagen.)
