Yup I agree. PHIL is the fan favorite here. Looks like he will make the cut on the number. Oh yes, like me, PHIL needs to make a lot more putts. Still at age 52 this is impressive.

27th PGA cut--ties Jack and Raymond Floyd. PHIL will pass that mark as he will clearly keep playing for some number of years. Maybe till 65--another 13 years.

Plus it was his 100th time he made the cut in majors--Player is second at 102 and Jack is at 131. I think he has a chance at this record but he might need help from the USGA for exemptions into the US open.

Phil out with the big gloves again. Have to think at his age and a bit of arthritis, these conditions just don't suit Phil at all.

Given the tough rough, poor driving and making very few putts, this is a very respectable showing.

Also, early, late was a somewhat better tee time that late, early. The early, late guys got to finish their rounds on day 1, then got to play the soft golf course after the rain, but not during, on day 2.

I have to say watching all 4 rounds of Phil on espn's featured groups was great. I especially loved seeing the beat down of JT and Bones. JT looked so stressed and Phil was walking around like he didn't have a care in the world. The crowds were definitely behind Phil 100 %
