Bogey, bad luck to end up right against the tree given the amount of times guys get a free shot with errant tee shots. Needs a couple of birdies coming in really.

Just had 2 WTF holes, the 2 duffed chips on 3, and the wipe on 11. He easily could be 4 or 5 under par

Yes his two poor shot really cost him. And for those counting PHIL is trying his third eagle putt. He just missed at 8 & 13. Could be scary low but that is golf.

Had Phil played the par 5s back in 1996, 1999, 2002m or even 2015 as he did today, Phil would have a few more green jackets

I agree, Phil has played really well, his second on 11 has been the only really bad swing.

I was not expecting him to shoot under par. Hope he plays well tomorrow and makes the cut. I think it's top 50 and ties.

So so close on Thursday. Same pattern today. He made a long putt on #1 for Birdie. A bit unlucky on second shot on #2 and just missed a birdie. Unlucky on #3 with his second and just missed birdie. Wow par save on #4 and now needs to do the same on #5

6 birdies on Thursday. Talk about a PHIL record--that I hope to see happen. Big Jack had 508 birdies at Augusta during his career. PHIL had 433 as of the start of this week.

Just 75 to catch him. Looks like with a made cut he could get 18 or so.
