Wow runs it by seven feet, that left for par. A shaky start.

Poor putt...now has 7 feet for par?...but he makes it.

Makes par at least.

Getting windy now. So far short game very ho hum.

Makes the 7 footer. Probably good to make one of those early to get some confidence. That is a pretty fast putt, so I don't know that his birdie putt was all that bad.

Some how PHIL left his 3rd shot above the hole at #2 but saved par

Hope he has patience. He said he feels you expect birdies on par 5s and 3rd hole. If he doesn't birdie 3 I'm worried about hI'm pushing it

# 1 is unbelievably tough. Easy to go over and into the woods, which is a double.

It's way too early to get discouraged about anything.

Watching some of the featured group coverage, the wind is picking up already. It's not easy out there right now.

Phil needs to hit some better shots. Wonder if Augusta has very slow greens like last year

Phil plays carefully off of the tee at five and then hits a really nice second shot to 18 feet.
