and PHIL will be out later this afternoon with Ricky Fowler plus a Japanese player. Hopeful for a great round. Muirfield suits PHIL but let Quail Hollow he has never won there. So let's go PHIL.

Been watching Tigers group online. His tee balls are terrible. HOPE Phil can find the short grass or he's screwed. ROUGH JUST OFF GREEN IS REALLY THICK.

He missed a 14 and 15 foot birdie putts on 1st and 3rd hole.

Be nice to have a good first round to hold Phils interest. He had a top 4 in 2006 they said. In 2007 he WD with that wrist injury. He is here because of jack. we know after 2 weeks off it always seems to be back to square 1 with his game. Hope he can post a good one.

Phil has missed 3 putts today in 6 ft range. Now another chance at 8th. GO PHIL!!!!!

PHIL hit a lot of quality shots today but the putts did not fall

In addition he hit some very iffy second shots

His tee shot at 18 doomed his under par round

A decent start but let's just say he needs to cover some ground to compete

This season the 18th holes have eaten Phil's lunch. BOY!!!!!!

Ugh....same old same old Phil. Fools you into thinking it's going to be a decent round and then gives it all back on a double, arghhhh.
