Well, Phil starts out like Phil, hitting to the left edge in the tree line..... and tops it off by missing a 4-ft putt, bogie.

Phil, if you keep going left with your driver, shorten it 1/4-inch, please!

I'd be curious what club he hit 311 yrds onto the short par-4 green, with water all along the left/greenside, just 20-ft to the hole and looks like 20 ft from water on left.... nice birdie recovery.

Phil -1 through 9 (back nine = hardest), so he needs to be at least -3 for the round if he wants to stay/sniff contention. Lot's of people are already -3/-4 through 9.

Gee whiz, he just makes stupid mistakes like that lately all the time it seems....one step forward and 3 steps back.  And my wife was laughing at  whomever it was on the Champions tour that 5-putted last week...this was close ('even I don't do that').

Tied for 50th and the 2nd wave hasn't even started yet, ugh, he'll be like 90th or so.

When He failed to birdie his 3rd par 5 of the day he checked out. Made triple . He doesn't like it here. Probably got pressure to play it. Even with low rough he is playing poorly. His short game looks horrible. Jack always said attitude can beat you before you hit your first shot.
