Re: Masters Round Two 2015
I wanted to say hello to everyone and thanks for keeping a forum going for us Phil Phans.
For my first post on the new forum-I was very impressed with Phil's round yesterday. 2 under was about as high as he could of shot,...if he made any putts at all it would have been an easy 67.
He needs to make some 10 to 20 footers today and ideally shoot 68 or better. Not getrimg a birdie at 2 hurts...sounds like his short game let him down. I hope he does not press or get too frustrated because the cut is going to be an issue with Spieth running so out in front.
Not happy to see Tiger playing well today and I am not sure at this point anyone will be able to touch Spieth.

Maybe Jordan got nervous he had to know the record was on the line. Phil made the most birdies last week so why call Stockton now he has new stuff in his head.

Another birdie putt from make able range after a solid approach on 5, 16 feet for birdie.
Needs to make a few of these putts today.

And yet another miss, even after a read from Rory's putt.

Bad tee shot on 6 doesn't get on the top shelf, 60 feet for birdie.

Great looking putt from long range just misses and runs three feet past the hole.

Big drive on 7 but it looks like he could be in trouble. Just 61 yards from the hole.

Re: Masters Round Two 2015
Somehow Phil has to shoot a 67 at minimum and get it to -6

Re: Masters Round Two 2015
Don't tell me Phil was on the green in 2, 38-feet from the pin and tried to putt it through the fringe and left it in the fringe?....and now has 22 feet for par now. Bogie coming up.
OK, NOT... this Shot Tracker is not much better than regular shot tracker.....they changes it....par.

Re: Masters Round Two 2015
Another par on 7 after his second shot doesn't get the bounce towards the slope it needed.
Phil is in need of a momentum boost, maybe he can get it going on 8.

Re: Masters Round Two 2015
Not a good drive on eight, but he might be okay. Looks like he's right of the bunker. Tiger was over there earlier and almost popped it on the green in two.

Awesome drawing three wood finds the green in two, about 50 feet for eagle.

Re: Masters Round Two 2015
One thing I've noticed, which has made ANGC MUCH easier. The fairways have become very WIDE under Billy Payne. Under Hootie, there was real rough and shots like Phil's recent shot on 8 would have been from it, instead of in the fairway. That, IMO, has made scoring significantly easier

got the birdie on 8! Needed that one.
Can't really afford to give any shots away on 9-12

Re: Masters Round Two 2015
Fairways are certainly wider at ANGC--I have see alot of scores from folks from the second cut as well.
I have a number in mind for PHIL today and its -5 or -6.
I think Hoffman and Speith can't keep this up.
