I just noticed that Phil is listed as being 'in the field'.  Is this true?

It better be true. I'm leaving at 3:30 am to watch the pro am and 1st 2 rounds. My theory on why he would skip it was all wrong. Lol
A,win is more likely in the 2nd playoff since he's won there and then skip the 3rd to rest. He would likely be n top 5 in charge of his own destiny. Wishful thinking....I know.

Yep, Phil's T-time is listed as going off at 12:55pm on the PGATour Leaderboard for Northern Trust with Patrick Reed and Tony Finau.

PHIL will be out this afternoon--Time to shine!!!

Lot's of people going low (-5, -4) and they still have lots of holes to play.  Looks like lead can easily be -5/-6/-7? after round 1.  Phil, no time to stumble right out of the gate.

Wow, Phil went into no-mans land, had to chip out then had 18 footer for par.... and he made it! Good salvage par on that hole!!

Crap, just great, blows the birdies with bogies, missing a 6-footer for par, ughhhh.

Ugh, nothing comes easy anymore....needs an up-and-down out of a bunker on the par-5 for par.

OK, Phil salvaged par from the up-and-down, great! Now he's closest to the pin on the par3 !! Make a bird!!

Ah, glad to see Phil make birdie on the 17th/par-5. For being 116 yards out, hitting his 3rd, he put it 19 ft from the hole, it was a bad shot....but he made the putt!

Wow a decent opening round from PHIL-fan favorite as well

saved one par putt but missed made 5 of them-nearly made several more on the back nine--solid round better then my own today
