PBP is not easy to decipher, but it appears Phil hit the par five fifth hole in two and three putted for a par.

Todd Lewis is following Phil and sending out some tweets. He says Phil two putted for birdie, so hopefully he's right and PBP is wrong.

Birdie on 6. Apparently Phil had 25 feet for eagle.

Lewis says Phil's score on 5 is a mistake and he did indeed birdie, so apparently -2 thru 6.

According to PBP, an eagle two for Phil at the par four 8th hole.

Twitter confirms its legitimacy. A couple writers have him at -4 thru 8.

Now they took the eagle off of Phil's scorecard... (confusion)

The PGA Tour leaderboard has Phil at -4 now; with birdies on 5 and 6 along with an eagle on 8!

Now the leaderboard has birdies at 5, 6, eagle at 8, yet says Phil is -3?

the eagle on 8 was from 96 yards according to one twitter guy

apparently it hit the flag going by, then spun back into the hole

feels good to say this...Phil tied for first!

More twitter news, a writer following Phil says he chipped in on 9 for birdie. No putter needed at the moment.

Lol... I checked my iPhone PGA Tour leaderboard as I left my house...great, Phil was at -1, then while at a drive-through (strawberry milkshake....I'm addicted!), I see one hole further and he's -4....WTF?...an albatross on a par-5?....I hurried back to my office, must have been a mixup, lol.
