Phil and Butch part ways

I agree....if you're just stagnating with the old, replace and try something else. Nothing against Butch, but perhaps a change will give Phil new excitement in his game and where it could be going.

Not surprisingly Phil is all class in his handling of this situation.

If Phil believes he needs a change then that may be all he needs to turn things around next year. I know his stats all were lousy last year but IMO think its been the putter .Golf is all mental especially at 45 yrs old SO THIS IS GOOD!

I think this is good news as PHIL might need some outside of the box advice to advance his game.

I like the word "rejuvenation", of just the prospect of working with someone knew, that it has to spark some excitement. Just like giving a new coat of paint to the inside of the house, you just feel better sometimes...same house, different flavor.

This is my favorite part of this article. He's not just floundering. He know's what he wants to do, thinks he can still do it, knows he needs help, and isn't afraid to ask. Can't wait to find out who this person is. This makes me very exited for January.

Looks like he's going w/ a relative unknown (at least to me), Andrew Getson. Will be fun to see how this plays out.
