Phil needs to cut his schedule to 10 tourneys a year
The PGA took a lot out of him. He also has had focus issues all season, except for Kiawah.
He's trying to play too much. Just cannot keep his focus week in and week out.
So, why not only play about 10 tourneys a year. Play the big 5, the WGCs if you qualify, then add the rest with important regular tour events. This would allow for Phil to not be as mentally drained and be fresh for when he does play

I was thinking along those lines as well. Now that PHIL is in the US open for five years (till 2027) top rankings should not matter to him. On the flip his son graduates from high school this year and the family is moving to Florida so he can do more? Up to him! Just don't rush into events like this week's Colonial.
