Not sure what hole Phil is on, but was just in front of the green, I suppose in 2, and his chip shot landed way short of the hole and started creeping backwards and rolled off the green, so he chipped again and the announcer said he has that left for bogie, ugh.

Now bogied the first 2 holes... +5.

he's done absolutely nothing here since 2015. Only good tourney since 2012 was 2015

This coure simply is not good for his game at all any longer. Doesn't hit the ball well enough

Phil's 2nd chip shot that rolls back off the green, back to his feet.  Not chipping well, short game is gone. Sun glasses and gum are not helping.

played wonderfully on the second 9. Hasn't been able to find the hole with his putter

Would be 3 under on his round had he not duffed those 3 chips on the first 9

34 on the second 9. Hit every green, including both par 5s in 2

Unfortunately, he had 18 putts on his second 9

Tee to green he’s playing well enough to be in the top 5. A handful of chipping duffs and making nothing from over 12 feet...

looks very touch and go if Phil makes the cut

Augusta played not much harder than last November today. A lot of very good scores today

PHIL came alive on the back nine! Right now the cut is projected at +3 and PHIL is in!

Mercy--so PHIL just missed a chip in eagle at #8 plus eagle putts at 13/15. Totally messed up at #2 and that cost him two strokes!

He could be -1 just on those four holes. He is so close but at this level--oh yes missed birdie putts at 6 other holes -the margin of error is so small.

He also missed the green with chips at 1 and 9. Cost him 2 more.

He turned a 67 into a 72 today

At least! I love the Masters.com play by play==you can see every PHIL shot in a few minutes. Now that I golf I know you can't make every shot but but PHIL! #2 was a heart breaker--likely he should have used a longer club with his second shot!
