Golf Channel reported that he is playing the senior tour this week because he felt Shadow Creek would be a let down.

Because last time he played at Shadow creek, he won 10 million. Didn't feel the 1+ was worth it

Yup and PHIL is in 1st 18 holes was -4 with an eagle

In his next 8 holes he was -4 and is now -8 after 29 holes or 11 in the 2nd round.

tied for 1st

Still can't hit a dam fairway. Hopefully this won't be a 'letdown' (what a dumb azz excuse for not playing Shadow Creek; just say you wouldn't be competitive against those guys and leave it at that).

Congrats to Phil.... nice win and made an exciting finish. Had to hold my breadth the first nine but pulled away on the back. 1 of only 3 people to have won their first 2 starts on Champions Tour!!

Phil said he was testing out a new Driver. Putting and scrambling were great. A win certainly can help confidence on any tour.

But didn't like the way he overswings on the back swing, geesh, reminds me of John Daly.

Thats funny I said the same thing. Looked even longer and wider than Daly in his heyday. Lol
