Final Round 2020 Safeway PGA event

and PHIL will be out later. Steady but not spectacular since the 1st round. Good prep for US open and if management partners run this event. Let's go PHIL

With only a -2 in the 3rd round, Phil got lapped and lost ground. Let's see if he can put a decent round together today. Seemingly can't put more than 2 good rounds in any given tournament anymore. His driving continues to be attrocious. It was like that 10 years back or more and I can't see why he never 'fixed it' considering all the money/trainers/coaches he has access to. If anything, golfing conditions over a career only get more difficult (longer holes/courses, tighter fairways, deeper rough) and if he was wildly wide off the tee 10 years ago, it was easy to suggest it will drive him crazy as he gets older (and new talent comes in that can drive straighter, therefore further pushing you back into the lower ranks).

Misses a 6ft birdie on 6 to get to -3 for the day. Then proceeded to bogey 7 and double 8. Shame as he could have gotten to 14/15 under and see what the rest of the day brought. Onto next week!!!
