Travelers 4th Round 2020

Well, don't know what to say.... going from 2 splendid rounds that put Phil at the top of the leader board to +1 performance when others lit it up (DJ, -9 on the day).

Well, perhaps Phil can get a piece of top-5 with a good run. Please don't throw it away by trying to go for broke....won't work, we know that by now.


Played my first MGA (men's golf assoc) tourney at our club....but still stayed away from people. What a slosh, 1-man scramble format (play 2 balls, pick best position, play 2 more from there, and so on all the way in), with 40% handicap. Shot a 73 gross and wasn't even close. I think some people have exaggerated handicaps even though the new rules helps a bit (HC = best 8 of last 20 scores instead of best 10; beat your handicap by 7 strokes and get HC reduced by 1 stroke; beat it by more than 9 and get it reduced by 2 strokes).

Just a few small mistakes added up. Missed short putt on 7 and then playing 13/15 in +1 vs -1/-2. So 3/4 strokes and I would feel alot better about today. If any of the leaders post 63/64 then its pretty much impossible to win. He will need that 61, but even then Todd can shoot 67.. Tough task today!!

Can't buy a putt and then goes OB on 10..Hopefully we have another weekend soon that Phil is in contention.

Back to back birdie and then rinses it on 15, but saves par.. Hopefully all the good from this week will show up next week!!

Of course DJ plugs it on the bank on 15. He has the horseshoe. Rooting for Streelman, but looks like DJ just got the break he needed. NO idea how that plugs and doesn't bounce even once into the water

Phil looked pretty great the first 2 rounds. I dont know why he can't put 4 rounds together. I thought with the stress off from needed to get up the rankings for the US open would free him up. Just read an article he says progress is being made. I guess when you consider all the previous MCs he is making progress.Now a week off then 2 in a row at Muirfield village.
