He gave one back and picked it up again, still -2, T-26th through 16.

Sunk 2 long ones thru 17 holes. Missed about 3 putts in 10 to 15 range.

Some astute person on my GolfWRX message boards put up a thread: "Phil Mickelson's Hand" and says: Anyone else notice he has a brace of some kind on his hand?   Looks like a thumb injury to me.

Someone else mentioned that he looked like he had it taped as well when he was in Saudi Arabia. I saw that last week myself and thought it was those compression tapes that you see a lot lately, even the basket ball players wear them all over.... and even the suction cupping, that looks like you were attacked by a giant octopus.

Yeahhhh, -3 and T-17th, thru 17.

And Phil pops in another birdie for good measure to finish -4, T-7th. Yeah!!!

No one seems to ask Phil about that wrap on his hand. Been 2 tournaments now. He has it on in his press conference on Wednesday and not a word was mentioned.

I was just thinking the same thing while watching a video recap of several of his birdies.  I would have thought the announcer doing the narrating would have said something like "doesn't look like his bandaged hand is bothering him that much".
