Taylor will be 'out of his element' being final/sunday and playing with Phil!!  (I know how you are, don't make him feel too comfortable, give him a little cold shoulder to make his mind go mush!). May have to look in rear view mirror for Jason Day (he's been blowing balloons for 30-min/day as core exercises and that's what he gives credit for his play?)

Just holed a bunker shot for eagle. He's 4 under par on the day through 6

Well, that full wedge shot from just off the green was the dumbest shot I could have imagined. Sometimes Phil, like Seve, just has to try and show off and that time, the ball rolls way off the green. Up and down for bogie, and that could easily be a double. Dumb dumb dumb. It must be tough being Phil, where ego gets in the way at times.

winds may gust to 40 mph coming down the stretch. This is the same direction as the 2010 US Open on the final day. That makes the second 9 play very hard (but as we saw, the ocean holes are downwind; thus were rather easy for everyone not named Phil)

Man, forget about Taylor, he had the golf gods on his side, but Phil was 4 shots clear of Streelman and now is behind him. He just got stroked today. Didn't have his best stuff, didn't calculate the wind/club choice correctly.

Think Nantz said that Phil needs a T2 to get inside top 50 and the WGC Mexico. Cutoff is today, so needs to birdie the last.

It's disappointing, but definitely more fun to watch golf when Phil's in the hunt. 3rd place in his last two tournaments is definitely better than missing cuts.

What kept Phil out of the WGC was drunken Johnson making that eagle on 18 last week

Phil got the worst of the weather. He was clubbed wrong into the greens. Either short, or hit and went long. He's definitely driving the ball better.

So if Phil does a top 10, does he break into the top-50 world ranking? Don't care about WGC, except without a cut, those are easy dollars and world ranking points, but what does top-50 do for US Open?

I was out all day and am heart broken that PHIL did not win
