Players Championship 2015 1st round

and PHIL missed out on the marathon match play events from last week. No PHIL interview, that I know of, so let's go PHIL. Shot a low score and get some attention.

Typical PHIL--wayward bogie and then two wonderful birds

nearly an eagle on the second hole.

Great second shot at 7 but misses the 12 footer for birdie

Hit and miss for PHIL--couple of great hits but too many misses.

I think he's rusty?

Misses 12 footer for par on 8...another bogey

+2 through 8 (Phil has bogeyed half of his holes thus far)

Makes 14 footer for birdie at 9...big putt

+1 through nine

missed 10 footer for birdie at 10...hurts to miss those

Phil hits a pretty awful second shot on 12 but saves par with an up and down.

Great tee shot and Phil makes the 18 footer for the bird at 13!

PHIL has been a major comeback--3 birds in 5 holes

water at 18 and a double killed a decent round.

Lots of good shots but 4 bogies and a double will not get you far at YPC

Messy round. Can't contend playing like that, nor possibly make the cut.
