Bunker off the first drive. Sent it just right of the green out of bunker (from tv camera view it looked like it was way way right) but ended up just off the grren. Nice chip to 4-5 feet and par putt.

Wow, Phil last in proximity to hole this week averaging 45 feet.

Wow, when he putted on #2 the ball went way left, thought he shanked a putt, but he was playing the break, must have had a mound between him and hole

Plus 1 through 8 holes. We won't be seeing much of Phil now that leaders are off. Gotta say Phil looks like he rather be anyplace but on the course.

If he plays like this next week, he better not open his mouth next year about Presidents cup, just let it go by without saying anything.
Ryder cup venue is supposed to have real tight fairways

This is the first time in my life that I'm rooting for Justin Rose.

I knew this stretch of holf was too much for Phil. He was a lock for tour championship so he could have skipped one. Paying the price now and could be very costly at ryder cup. Gosh I hope he can find his game next week!

That’s a PGA tour professional’s life. If he can’t hack it, then he’s close to Champion Tour time. I hope he doesn’t try to play on past his ability to do so and then be at bottom of the board week after week

bulls yes it's their life but Rory took off a Fed ex event and someone else too.. cant remember who at the moment but they were a lot younger than 48 yrs. Old. Phil had a great year going and going out with a wimper.

Phil didnt have the Ryder Cup locked up yet and was out there to help insure he got in, so he didn’t have the same options as Rory, but yes he could have done so. More and more there is noise to have some kind of penalty to those who skip rounds. I think they will do something in near future
