Looks like those who go out early (if they allow play) are going to get screwed with rain....which may let off in a couple of hours.

Ugh, Phil teeing off in rain, looks cold and wet.

Dam, he stands too far away from the ball, makes you cast the head and causes a pull, setup looked bad to me (I'm a lefty too), and of course.....he pulls it wide right. dam. The trees/bushes on the right are thick, nothing to salvage, imo.

Golly, he's got nothing, under a canopy of branches that bend to touch the ground, but there's no clear opening....he will have to try and hit it through the leaves/branches.

Wow, he miffed on his first swing, hitting a tree on the way down with his downswing..... He'll be sitting 3 in the fairway, look for double on this hole.

Hmmm... Phil in rain gear jacket (I never like to wear stuff, it's restricting) and now Tiger/Poulter show up on 1st tee with just shirts?

And Phil gets bunkered on 2nd fairway.

Bogies 2nd hole. He's probably wishing he missed the cut. Game over.

I wish Phil didin't make the cut because I dislike this Phil who doesn't care. I am pulling for Bubba, Jordan and Ricky. If neither of them can do it, I want Rory because it will be really good for golf.

Yea, I know what you mean, me too. I'm not a fan of Reed, think Jordan/Thomas won too much already, prefer Rickie so he can gain some momentum and do a little catch up to Dustin, Jordan, Thomas, Rory.

I noticed something with his swing during his warm up today. He is double clutching right before he takes the club away

Does anyone know anything about Shinnecock. They said on golf central he may do better there because you won't need as many drivers.

Shinnecock was lengthened by 550 yards. Also, the rough is 30 inches deep there

Maybe it's those rain gloves, trying to get a good grip? I'm not a fan of them, though I'm sure he uses one of better quality than I've tried. I've tried winter golf gloves (both hands) and although they keep your hands warm, I can't hit anything with them on, too much wiggle room for the club to get a good grip, imo.

I hope that Rickie can win this thing. He's due, and everyone says he's the nicest guy in golf. Maybe too nice to win the big ones. Jack Nicklaus is a big fan of his character and personality.

Just looked at the weather map again, I bet it clears up by the time the leaders start, the front is moving/sliding north and eastward, not fair, ughhhh.

he was doing it yesterday as well. Its not the gloves

Took the rain gear off. Man i wish the weather was reversed.

Dam, I'm done watching Phil today....downhill lie, should have laid up, especially after watching Hatton.
