Thank you for that positive spin, Ralph. Phil is just getting his feet wet this year, and TGC said that last year he was 24th or 27th and didn't expect a lot. I have waited so long for Phil to be in the field, and I am not going to bash him as he has just started. He missed some putts, but most did. I was happy that they said we'd be seeing a lot more of him the next two days!

OK, sorry for my sour response before....yes, will take that as a better Phil-start than in prior years. I forgot which course I played that had the 'aircraft-carrier' type fairways (Nicklaus course?) where the fairways looked like their sides were carved out and spilled down 6-8 feet into low lying grassy areas.

PHIL at least isn't traveling back home everyday. I read he has a place there and as he said in interview he can practice after the round.He knows the clock is ticking I think he will take this year very seriously. IMO just wish the puttING would improve.I think he was top 10 back in 2013.that's what we need in addition to this swing plane he keeps talking about.

You are forgiven Bulls.  Hard not to think Phil should come out and be 5 strokes ahead of everyone.  Did you see that Spieth was penalized for slow play.  The Euro Tour is getting serious about it. They don't necessarily penalize the group, they'll do it individually.  I have noticed that he's slow. Edited to add that he's not the only one.

Wow, Phil only 4 back but sitting all the way down at T-32, lol. I guess most would feel if they shot a round of par in the tournament they will be well out of it come Sunday, that every day needs to be a -7 day.
