Riviera CC
Every year or so when PHIL has been at Riviera. I do my homage to one of my favorite courses!! Classic Design--Hogan's alley!!
1st hole is a aircraft wide par five--easy start from the hill next to the back door of the clubhouse
2nd house is a 471 yard brute while the next is a 434 yard tricky but gettable short par hole.
4th hole is a monster par three--230 yards!!
#6 is the short par three with the bunker in the middle--stay right or left but in the middle
#7 is a short par four with a hump in the middle that kicks errant drives into the bunker of doom
#8 has two fairways with choices as to how to approach the hole
#9 has cross bunkers off the tee with an elevated long narrow green
#10 is the premier test of a short par four hole in golf!!
#11 is a long and narrow par five--beware of misses on left and right off the tee
#12 & #13 are long testy par fours--find the fairway or get up and down
#14 is the pause that refreshes a par three three where you can birdie or bogie if you find a bunker
#15 is the final brute of a long par four--whew!!
#16 is another testy par three that will reward great shots with birds
#17 long long par five but beware of being above the hole in two or three
#18 is a testy driving hole with hard to grasp visuals off the tee and tricky second shots from behind either trees or heavy rough if stray
