I think Phil's lousy showing just killed the Phil vs Tiger Pay-per-View audience for Thanksgiving. Heck, 12-shot difference between Phil and Tiger yesterday. Is Tiger going to have to 'spot Phil strokes' to make it competitive? Can you imagine if they play like they did yesterday, what a flop that would be?

And....phil misses fairway and is short sided in greenside bunker...and leads to bogie

Oh crap, Phil bogied #1 and #3 and is in last place (30th) clear of 29th by 5 strokes.

Would rather Tiger win both than split with Justin Rose

Phil didn't have it. Sadly I checked the senarios and if he won the tournament all the other stuff happened to make him win the cup too.

Happy for Tiger. He really worked hard to get his game back. Golf is so much better with Tiger being competitive. Wish Phil had the desire and will that Tiger has.

Yes, I was pushing for Tiger to win if Phil and Rickie couldn't win.  But I will also say he won against a 30-person field, not a typical 145 person PGA tour field, but a 'win' is a 'win'.  Does he go play in Hawaii, another 30 person field?

Also scary.... half our Ryder Cup team was at the bottom of the leaderboard, and next week has tight fairways and deep rough. They interviewed past EuroTour winners at that French course and all said the same thing, you have to hit fairways.

PHIL put alot of effort into the 1st two fedex events. He aparrently lost steam after the Ryder Cup pick--its all about the Cup now. I expect to see PHIL play several four ball matches and a singles match next week.

I saw stats where Phil was like 45% of fairways and lousy putting stats too and suggested that if his putting ‘was on’ he could have done much better, but i think that’s an uninformed comment. I saw another comment where Phil was last in proximity to the hole (after 3 rounds), being something like an average of 45 feet. My point has always been, that proximity to hole is going to be directly related to faiwways made (miss a fairway and you are not likely to put it close to the hole and even good putting will not likely let you make putts from 45 feet. So #1) make more fairways hit, 2) that will allow you better proximity, 3) that will allow you to make more putts.

My own experience has shown when i went to a ‘senior’ shaft, i got more distance, was able to get closer proximity to the hole on approach shots, and my scores have been dropping. On days when i spray it off the tee, i don’t score as well, and i’m sure pro’s play from deeper rough than i do
