Houston Open 2018 Round Three

and PHIL is out early on Saturday--so am I! PHIL is the 1st to tee off on the 1st tee at 9 AM but he is without Justin Rose will he be joined by Lee Westwood and Nick Lashley. Lashley is a golfer I do not know but he will certainly be thrilled to tee off with PHIL

Phil is -2 thru 3, so now -7 total and middle of fairway on the par5, and now on the green in 2 !!

3 birdies in a row make it to -8 !! Oh where he would have been without that triple.

4 penalty strokes on 5. 2 water balls. Had to reload both times

ANOTHER MAJOR MELTDOWN... EXPECTING A QUAD.  In the water 2x off the tee and now laying 6 in the fairway on a par4.

He is too erratic with his drives. I'm sorry, but I don't see him winning another green jacket next week if he does one of these each round.

Well, no need for me to watch today, I'll just go play myself and do yardwork :-)

This is CRAZY. 3 in a row birdies now this. He was T11. Sickening! !!!!

In all seriousness, the only hole that he can get into major trouble with a WF special at augusta is 10 and 13. He putts like this, he wins by 10

Taking forever to post tee ball on 6th hole. Hope he didn't throw back out or something on the 5th hole dabacle

There are plenty of tree lines that can block his approach shots, and given the opportunity to 'thread the needle' like he likes to do, he can hit trees and end up just as bad as a water ball.

Article online that pops up about an interview by ESPN with Billy Walters who blames Phil for not stepping up and going to bat for him, rather looking out for himself. Blames Phil for spending his last years in jail. Wah wah wah.

Well add another par save...17 feet on a par 5. He is putting like Tiger woods at his peak. Too bad for pars not birdies.

Phil was at Augusta. Said it was cool temperature which was,a plus because greens were fast.
If he goes home today because of 2nd cut don't know if that's good or bad at this point. It is embarrassing though.

After he was -6 through his first 9 holes I was really feeling great about his game. It's hard to fathom what has happened since then with everything except putting.

he rallied too birdie 15-17. should advance to tomorrow.

Thing is, if he hits the ball like he should, he can still win this. He's only 7 back. He'd shoot 57 if he can avoid the hazard. He's making nearly everything

Another absolute wild ride for PHIL today---three shots in the water and triple plus double plus a bogie and 6 birdies.
