“I think last year after having such a rough year, coming back out I think my confidence has slipped a bit,” Mickelson said Saturday after a third-round 71 to go to 3-over for the WGC Cadillac Championship. “I’m not worried about the driving or the distance or the long irons, the short irons. Those all feel fine. I’m hitting shots, I’m hitting a variety of shots but I’m having a hard time just keeping the mental picture of the shot while I’m swinging."

I think if he can climb up to another top-20 finish, it would be a decent, not great, start.

Better spend some time with Bob Rotella or whomever the golf shrink guy is. Paddy said he spent some time with him and helped him.

If PHIL had a made a few more putts he would have that 65 I was wishing for.

A lot of good shots from PHIL this week but too many off kilter shots and not enough putts fell.

Looks like -1 could have snagged a top 10. I was hopeful when Phil got it to EVEN after the birdie at the 11th but just not to be.

Long waits on 17 and 18 took a toll.
