Very solid 69 or three under. Could easily have been a 64 or a 65 or 66 with a few more putts plus better shots on the par fives.

He is close to being in top form.

Phil jinxed himself on Wednesday saying how he loved the fact that you could chip around these greens that they weren't mowed so tight you had to putt them.
Terrible chip on 2nd. Leads to bogey.

Phil once again fails to birdie a par 5. He has birdied 4 out of 13 p ar 5s so far. He's gotta be so frustrated. He gets into contention for Sunday has a terrible start.

Putts not falling and #8 and #9 are hard hard holes for PHIL

Guys that aren't half the player Phil is are under par on the front 9. Phil shoots 39 and is totally out if it now. I hate to say it but Sunday and having a shot at it is getting to Phil. I checked his final round scoring average and it's 106th. Too bad because he has proved he has game. I just feel terrible for him .they said on golf central he has 6 2nd place finishes since his last win and 10 top 3s or better.

I hope you're right. He's MC the last 4 Players. Hard to believe. Nice finish today but pressure was off at that point.. That's what I worry about. He really needs a win before a major to gain confidence. Not v a necessity but would be nice.
