Once again, if he'd made some putts he'd be winning. Others have missed putts as well. Phil is playing well. Hope to get back to watch a good round for him today.

Solid start so far, but this doesn't seem to reward low numbers. They almost seem like the norm and Phil will probably have to get to -20 for a chance..

Everyone making birdies and eagles early. You need 4 good rounds here and Friday's 70 wasn't near good enough. Phil is playing good but needs a spectacular round. Tough To Start 6 Back ON THIS course

Not sure what rattled Phil before his 2nd at 11, but looks like back to back bogies...

Back to back bogies ends his chances. From time to time Phil can show flashes, but I don't know if he can put together four rounds anymore.

Typical roller coaster. Ya get hopes up with a great front 9 then 2 bogeys. 6 back was too much to ask on this course

Something actually looks wrong now. Either an ailment, someone got to him on 11 or just total disinterest. that putt on 12 was pretty weak and has 4-5 feet to prevent another bogie.

Betting he finishes within 2 of the lead and those 2 bogies will haunt him... AN is in the water on 11.

Leader stumbles Phil another bogey. Boy this is so discouraging considering Phil was -14 thru 9.

Golden opportunity wasted today. Did the job on the tougher front nine, but struggling on the back. Very nervy stuff, not that surprising considering he's struggled closing out tournaments the past few years.

I just hope he has another win in him. It would suck if the 2013 Open was it.

Looks wet on 15.. So much hope after 9 and it comes crashing down.

Playing in the Ryder Cup under pressure did great this event shouldn't be a problem but being in contention apparently is.

Chunky chip, needs to get up and down for a six. Awful.
