Golf gods are not on Phils side. The poor guy has been in Tigers shadow his whole career and they couldn't throw him a bone. Heart breaker just like his try for 59 was in Phoenix.
Hope he has 3 more great rounds left!!

Tommorrow will be focused on weather--rain and wind is coming

The key for PHIL tommorrow will be patience. The weather will come in with rain and wind right when PHIL tees off. One never knows but if the cross winds come in the afternoon PHIL has the right draw

Hope it's not a storm like we had last nite.... don't know how our large cottonwoods didn't break in the 50-70 mph winds we had (maybe enough broke off in the last one the remaining ones were strong)... entire yard was littered with branches and twigs today. Moving south-east towards Arkansas

Someone at work asked if I checked the leaderboard(totally forgot what today was). I said I didn't want to jinx it. He was -6 through 15 when I looked. Then he birdied 2 more holes and I was happy. Saw a par on 18 and @ -8 I was happy. Then I get home and see he almost had 62. That would have been special. He is in the lead, I really hope he doesn't stay dejected and let it go...62 would have been special, but winning another major will be just as special.

Well, old Brandel said that Phil has lots of outstanding golf left and he predicts that Phil will become the oldest player to win a major. Right now, is that 48? He's thinking down the line. Liking the way Brandel thinks for the first time --maybe ever! LOL I head on tv that Phil talked Stricker into coming to Troon, and he came to the Scottish Open and stayed with Phil as the John Deere was cancelled. Interesting stuff, I thought.
Also gave Steve come chipping lessons and some short game advice.

Would love to see a final leaderboard on Sunday with a few over 40s on it with Phil winning of course! ! Steve can finish 2nd. IMO the big 3 ... Day SPIETH and Rory all need to come down a peg.
