PHIL has had several good chances to win this year. His stats are the best they have been in awhile. We have had the the excitement that has been missing for a couple years. I just really really hope this year he can pull off a win or it will be a bittersweet year.

That birdie miss on 17 cost him solo 2nd.

Yup PHIL basically lost this event on the 1st day with his water ball and poor putt on the hole on the hole before that.

Still he hit a ton of great tee shots, iron shots and putts.

Can't complain much

The margin of error between 1st and t2 is so small. PHIL came into town late Tuesday night and more or less goofed through his pro-am round and then slept most of the rest of the day.

On Thursday morning he let 4 or 5 shots slip through his hands on his 1st 9 holes. That cost him. Similar to story to other events this year. To win in 2016 he might need to put in another day of practice or travel. Right now the time with family or practice for majors is more important.

LOL, Phil said "yes, Berger can call me Phillip now" in reference to some quipping between Berger and Phil where Berger called him 'Philip' and Phil said 'only my wife calls me that, but you have to have a win on tour to be able to call me Phillip", lol.
