Memorial Tournament Round Three 2015

and PHIL will be out in an hour or two. PHIL hit a ton of quality shots on Friday. He hit a ton of fairways, was sharper with his putter and had a lot of quality iron shots. His two iron off the tee was all about US open prep. A lot of good play from PHIL. Not sure he can sniff a top ten this week but several great rounds this weekend would be helpful.

I will be back later this afternoon.

PHIL said he wants to improve each day. So that means a 67 or lower

+3 thru 2 holes. PHIL must be having sympathy pains for Tiger.

4 over thru 4 and in the water on 5. Pitiful. Can't watch anymore. Not sure what's up. Maybe he and Tiger will play together tomorrow! Dream pairing.

Phil shoots 78 Tiger 85. Guess he didn't want Tiger to get all the negative press about his game.I don't know what to think except maybe when he got off to a bad start today he just went crazy or totally lost that focus he talks about. Phil said once that nothing is worse than teeing it up on Sunday with no shot at winning

His game is about as terrible as it's ever been leading into a US Open. Especially in a place where ball striking is critical.

the first 2 rounds were pretty good all around. I really think when Phil has no shot at winning as was evident after his first couple holes today all hell breaks loose in his game and I really think it bothers us more than him. I don't think he is in as bad a shape as it looked today.

Tiger's out first by himself. Phil' s out shortly thereafter with Steve Stricker.

I guess Tiger didn't want to play with a marker that could beat him.

Slow start leads to a long day

Dublin, Ohio (June 6, 2015) – Afterward, Phil Mickelson said, “I felt so good this morning. I thought I was going to light it up.”

That was just after signed for his first 78 since the 2013 PGA Championship. About 30 minutes after he played the last four holes of the third round of the Memorial Tournament three over par. And about four and a half hours after he played the first four 4-over.

“I bogeyed the first from the rough on the drive,” he said, “then I went for that back-right pin on 2. The wind didn’t hurt it, over, water, double.

“It was tough to get it going after that.”

I don't want to say I'm a prophet but I know I posted that after Phil's bogey, double start he knew he couldn't win and lost interest . ended up shooting 78 .
