Phil needs to come out of the gate, pistols firing!!  Stop this nonsense of bogies to start the day.  Lol, I started playing with this older group of guys who play from the shorter white tees instead of my normal/longer blue tees (tougher as I get older) which makes me feel like I'm bombing the ball, lol, and they have their own rules such as you get to hit 2 drives and use the best one.  I asked why?  And one guy said, "nothing worse than starting the day/round with a bad shot (OOB) and so we do away with that first bad shot.

Gee whiz.... amazing. If Phil would have kept his whits about him and not try to do something heroic or something on that last hole, just made par.... he would have made the cut! which is now at +3, where he was going into hole 18!! But double on 18 brought him back to +5.

if he even makes the bogey putt on the final hole, he likely gets in. This cut is probably going to 4 over. What a disaster of a finish

I watched phils round online and the announcer said Phil played his bunker shot really fast. He said he thought maybe Phil didnt think +3 had a chance of making the cut. . Still no excuse.
