Masters Round Three 2015 Empty Masters Round Three 2015

and PHIL will be out late today. That is the hope of every fan of his. Mercy it is tough to see him early either in a major or a regular tournament. Clearly he is in the hunt the unspoken truth PHIL needs some help from Jordan. if Jordan goes 70-70 it will be hard to catch him. In 2013 OPEN championship PHIL shot a 66 while Westwood shot a 74. You can make up 8 shots in a hurry like that.

That's golf. So let's go PHIL

Phil needs to shoot another 68 (or better) today and see what happens. The course is going to get quicker over the weekend and I can't imagine Jordan not getting some nerves over the next 36 holes. He showed last week and the week before that he can go south for some stretches.

Phil just needs to be in position in case it happens, if it doesn't, hats off to Jordan for some awesome golf. 68, 68 would put Phil at -14 ! Might need 66 66.....

Pins look to be in tougher positions today, but more rain overnight unfortunately. They might not have the "fire" in them like Phil talked about in his post-game conference. Hopefully they crank up the sub-air system.

Another 68 might do nicely for Phil in that case.

Joan, that's really what he has to do. Be in position. Just like the Open Championship in 2013. Phil was close enough to the lead to be there when the leaders came back on Sunday. It really is up to Jordan. However, a quick look at the leaderboard and I see the only player between Phil and Jordan with a major is Justin Rose (Els is a shot behind Phil so we can't discount him either). So, it would not be unheard of for young, inexperienced players to come back to the field a bit in the 3rd and 4th round of a major.

Phil has to do his part and shoot something in the 60's.

Eldrick is off to a fast start, -3 thru 4. I had a feeling the Sergio pairing would get him going.

Tiger was pushing to put the sub-air system on to suck moisture out of the grass/greens and make it faster and more difficult, lol. But David Duvall said, if you're a chaser, you'd want soft conditions to allow you to attack. That if it was so fast that you are struggling just to make par, then a leader also just makes par and you never catch up. At least with soft, you have to have confidence that you can put in a better under-par rounds than the leader on the weekend.

Quite a drive on 2. Loved that Butch said that Phil is highly underrated. He said that Phil won in the Tiger era and that they are the best two players in the world of their generation. We sometimes forget just how special Phil is--at least I tend to when he doesn't make a putt, etc.

Great birdie on the 2nd. It's nice to see Tiger and Rory doing well, it makes this tournament more exciting and maybe Jordan will get nervous seeing those two and Phil coming up the leaderboard.
