I was at the tournament for the first 2 rounds. Phil was so pumped up and happy until the 17th hole double. Bones was discussing the strategy like a babbling motor mouth out of control. Very bad IMO it screwed up Phil and all his MOJO has been downhill since then.
I talked to Getson and right now no plans to see Erin Hills before Monday of us open week. Phil may add Colonial to schedule because he really wants to make President cup on points. Phil is very excited about British open an pga venues this year.

Rahm shot 10 over today and Kuchar was 9 over. It'll be an early tee time and exit for lots of guys tomorrow who are great players. Leaders have no wind on tough finishing holes.

Phil's strategy on 17 was no better than Bones'. They BOTH had the wrong club. Phil hit his club and still hit the ground rule double. He either should have cut a wedge or hit a draw with a gap wedge

How big is 17 green front-to-back? Golly, using a wedge and can't get it to stay on, and there's a hill in the middle to help slow your ball going forward. When Phil went over, he hit it flag high on the back/upper tier.
