What is next for PHIL?

Post by Admin on Tue Apr 11, 2017 3:59 pm

My guess is three weeks off and then Wells Fargo-TPC

Well he could do TPC then Nelson but doubt it.

I was just going to ask you what his schedule was. Sounds like a plan. Hope he continues to work on his game, and one day, it will all come together for him, and Rosie will falter for him like he did Sergio!

He already committed to Wells Fargo. It will be held at a new course this year due to the PGA championship being held at Quail Hollow. Phil has done everything but win there so Im excited about his chances to win the last major this year.

In 2014, Phil shot -15 at the PGA and finished second
In 2015, Phil shot -14 at the Masters and finished second
In 2016, Phil shot -17 at the Open and finished second

One of two things will happen

He will shoot -18 at the TPC and finish second or shoot -12 at the US Open and finish second

If that holds true then I hope the winner signs an incorrect scorecard! Smile

As a trivia note I believe PHIL is now around 370 birdies at Augusta. Jack had 506 so if PHIL keeps going in another 10 or so years he could be close that number.

Jack had 22 eagles and by my count PHIL has 16 of them.

Big numbers

I'd sell my house for powerball tickets if that comes true

Phil not winning 3 majors the last 3 years is statistically improbable given the scores he shot. Not winning 2, statistically very unlikely. Not winning any of them, you have a better chance of winning the powerball and mega millions in the same week!

Phil was quoted a couple years ago as saying he walked around there wondering how he ever won there. I hope he watched it. Good stuff!!

It was amazing watching him hit the fairways and greens, and putt beautifully. Loved watching it again.

Phil gets to tee it up with JB . Is he preferable to Rosie?

Roseforte said Phil was Checking out Quail Hollow on Tuesday. I heard they changed 4 holes for the PGA in August. Phil has done everything but win on that course. Be nice to snag that major.
