Re: Deja vu 2013 US open
The article says arriving Wednesday. I'm not excited about Phil's lack of respect for the tournament to minimize the time spent just prior to the tournament (which others said could/would be different than it is setup week or more in advance), even with family matters considered. I was expecting him to go right from FedEx to Oakmont. Maybe those that are more hungry are doing that.
"According to his spokesperson, Mickelson is expected to attend the ceremony on Tuesday and return to Oakmont, site of the 116th U.S. Open, on Wednesday."

PHIL practiced there Monday then went home Monday night. All I can say is glad he has his own plane He has been non stop since the pro am at Memorial.

And that kind of back-and-forth, well, I don't think it helps him to do that.

I don't think it helps his golf game at all, but Sophia has always seemed like a daddy's girl, and I think he'd be in big trouble if he didn't show up. Can't see him missing it regardless. Too bad this tournament comes at a time that makes it so hard for families. Father's Day, etc.

They're talking about him missing practice opportunity here:

It may not help his golf game, but it is hard to imagine Phil NOT doing this - it is one of the reasons we root for him, isn't it?

I'm not worried as much about missed preparation. I m worried about fatigue. His stats are pretty good coming into this . Rosiforte said he normally takes Monday off but with the graduation he was off Tuesday. But travel and time change even on your own planes wears you down.
