Bones McKay going to be an 'on-course' reporter
I wonder how much Bones' salary dropped the past year? ....unless Phil pays him a guaranteed minimum...you make $40+ mill, you can afford to do something nice.

Caddies Jim "Bones" Mackay and John Wood will join the Golf Channel team as on-course reporters next week.
Jim “Bones” Mackay and John Wood are trading in their golf bags for a microphone, for one week anyway.
The two veteran caddies will work as on-course reporters for Golf Channel at next week’s RSM Classic (formerly The McGladrey Classic) at Sea Island.
“We have gotten to know course reporters very well over the years, and we’re fascinated with everything that goes into producing and covering a professional golf tournament,” Mickelson’s longtime caddie Mackay said in a release. “We are looking forward to being a part of the Golf Channel team next week.”
Added Wood, who was on Hunter Mahan’s bag for nine years and is now looping for Matt Kuchar and will work for him during the second and third rounds: “I hope Bones and I can bring a unique perspective to golf on the PGA TOUR and that viewers will find interesting what we as caddies are thinking out on the course.”
As two of the more well-spoken, insightful caddies in the game, that shouldn’t be a problem. Both have long been go-to voices among the caddie ranks and each should add plenty to the broadcast.
Golf Channel's live coverage will air from 1-4 p.m. ET Thursday through Sunday.
