BMW Championship 2015 third Round
and short of two super super rounds PHIL will be resting next week. The putter was chilly in Chicago on Friday and this course demands that you make putts. Heck most courses do.
Let's go PHIL.
Let's go PHIL.
Re: BMW Championship 2015 third Round
Looks like Day will run away with this thing. They said Phil needs a top 3 to advance so he still has a better chance of a 3rd place that anything else but he needs 2 great rounds for that.

Must have been a tougher day for scoring. Phil failed to take advantage yesterday when it was there for the taking.

It was tougher scoring today but the putts he missed inside 15 feet or less this week..I give him credit for not breaking the club in two. Just hope he gets it together for the Pres CUP then my much needed break from golf till next year

Ugh, he's done at 64th place in FedEx points and needs to be 30th to advance, I don't see anyway....he will probably implode on Sunday, I guess. Good thing I didn't watch any golf today, was out car shopping and picked up a 2016 Explorer XLT (liked the Edge but the 2016's didn't come out yet).

Love the Explorer. I had one before I downsized to the Escape. I don't need 4 wheel drive anymore and gas mileage is better. Explorer's a lot more vehicle. What color did you get?

Re: BMW Championship 2015 third Round
Well, I previously had a 1999 Explorer, and then currently have had a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer V8 which I love the body styling, still looks real clean except at 115,000 miles, things are 'starting to happen'....just had to pay $750 last week to fix/replace 5 spark plug 'coils' (have them now for each spark plug instead of a distributor cap with wires to each plug)....funny, the dealer service guy calls me early after I brought my car in and said "needed to replace 3 coils, so will be ~$400", so I tell my wife and she says "time for new car", then 2 hrs later the service guy calls back and said, "after we replace the 3 coils, 2 more went out and that brings the total up to ~$750", so I call the wife and first words out of my mouth are "need a new car!", lol. So after this last fix, I gave in. At least I pushed the sales guy to give me $1,500 more than they were offering me on my trade in, so that pays for my repair, lol.
So I'm open to Explorer vs Edge, but the problem was that the 2016 Edge's have not come out and they were selling the 2015's at basically the same price as the 2016 Explorer's, so I didn't want to buy a 2015 Edge and have it a 'year old' the day I drive it off the lot, so I ended up with a white 2016 Explorer XLT V6, front-wheel drive (navigation package, auto rear door opening, rear TV/front sensors). I don't need heated steering wheel, sun roof, or 4WD; I really don't need the '3rd seat' as I think I've use the one in my Mountaineer like 2 times. But it's so computerized, it is a bit too distracting....had the sales guy in the car, wife and son in back seat, and as I backed out at the dealer, I almost hit a car that went across behind me....oh great start that would have been. The Edge's Eco-boos/turbo I4 4-cylinder is quite peppy, and could have easily gone for one of those had they had the 2016's available.

I have the annoying back up squealer that has saved many a pedestrian passing behind me. If there is not already one on your vehicle, I suggest adding it. I love the keyless entry as well on the Fords. Never a chance of locking my keys in the vehicle, and it's perfect for the beach, etc. The shape of the Explorer is attractive, IMO, and I like the visibility factor. My son had a Mountaineer that he loved. I take the rear headrests out of their slots unless I have back-seat passengers, as it improves visibility. Also love the blue-tooth enabled phone. I drive a Ford, because there's a dealer in every backwoods town where I live. LOL Never far away from help, and the dealership in my town is reliable and has been here longer than I have. Love having a new car--enjoy!

Yes, some kind of back end sensor will be great for home...our neighbor's child has a learning disability, and sometimes as I'm ready to back out of the garage I see him in my side view standing right there....ugh.....it scares the heck out of me sometimes that I always have to check and double-check if he is around (look around the side of the garage and behind the neighboring bushes, and then get in the car and pull out....always pull out slow. My other neighbor across the street said he inadvertently locked the kid in his garage when he closed the garage door and later heard a knocking sound, and looked out his front door and couldn't figure out what it was and then went into the garage, opened the door, and found that child running out....could have been disastrous on those hot days where the garage gets to about 125-140*F.

It sounds like a sensor is what you need. It v doesn't take long to install at your dealership.
